Additional Services

In the event additional testing is warranted, Good Samaritan Pet Doctor offers the following services. Good Samaritan Pet Doctor does not offer consultations for results and requires owners to connect with their full-service veterinarian for reviewing results and making any on-going care/treatment plans.

Pre-surgical Bloodwork $83

Tests your pet's blood chemistry levels and hematology. These tests will help the veterinarian to identify underlying health issues and help determine which medications are safe and appropriate for your pet. Required for dogs 7 years or older and cats 9 years or older.

Histopath Analysis $86

The microscopic examination of tissue samples obtained through a biopsy. Our biopsies are sent to UNL Diagnostic Lab for histopath analysis.

Diabetes Care Package $66

Specialized care and monitoring required for our diabetic patients.

Stone Analysis $33

Performed to evaluate the composition of bladder and kidney stones to determine the cause of their formation and to guide treatment.

Culture and Sensitivity $165

Culture is tested to find out what kind of organism is causing an illness or infection. A sensitivity test checks to see what kind of medicine, such as an antibiotic, will work best to treat the illness or infection.

Brachycephalic Care Package $45

Includes targeted monitoring and specialized pre-op and post-op medical/preventative care. In some pets, additional medications including antiemetic and sedatives may be utilized or prescribed. If this package is not elected by owner, but the pet presents as brachycephalic at the time of the procedure, the Brachycephalic Care Package will be provided by our medical team to aid in the highest care for your pet, and the cost of the package will be added to the invoice for payment.
